Believe it or not, sometimes it’s actually a little difficult to pick a puppy. Whether it be from a reputable breeder or rescue, sometimes we just go with the one that’s the cutest, without factoring in how the dog will fit into our lifestyle. Breed and genetics are a very important thing to consider when picking a suitable match for our families. Do you have a family? Young kids? Do you enjoy hiking, daily exercise like jogging? Is entering marathons kind of your thing? Or would you rather stay in, and enjoy a movie with some popcorn on the couch after a long day at work? These lifestyle choices will affect which dog we pick. If you’re the relax-at-the-end-of-the-day type of person I mentioned, you won’t want to bring a Husky, or a Shepherd home. However, if you are the fitness buff example, then this might be the dog for you. Have you researched your breed of choice? Research is a huge factor in getting a dog because it sets you and the dog up for success when it comes to training and raising. All of these things take time to consider before getting a dog. This specific service is designed to help you (the owner) in picking out the right 4 legged match for you! After learning about your lifestyle and your daily routine, I will get to work in finding you the right breeder or rescue; sort of like a matchmaker! Then, once the search has some conclusions we will go together to meet the breeder and their dogs/puppies, or we will arrange a meet and greet with a potential adoptable dog to see how things flow. If all is well and we end up leaving with your new family member I will then help you in getting your new addition off to the right start from the moment you bring them home! This service is $50 and can be used as a deposit toward one of the appropriate training programs chosen for your new addition offered by me.
